If you are a small animal, and you are not a cat or a dog, you are probably considered to be an exotic in veterinary speak (weirdly, yes, that includes rabbits too).

Species-specific, supportive, lifetime care. Including, but not limited to: clinical examination, weight checks, dietary advice, neutering, dental care, x-ray, ultrasound, soft tissue surgery, skin disease, mites, vaccines, urinary disease, pedicures, beak trims.

Excellent medical, surgical, and nursing skills for the less commonly encountered pet.
